Recruitment fraud and fake job offers

Please aware that individuals may falsely represent themselves as Lineage recruiters or hiring managers. These individuals may send fraudulent job offers, request personal information, or ask candidates to make payments.

This includes individuals who may impersonate real Lineage recruiters on LinkedIn.

What you need to know to protect yourself?

  1. Offers of employment are only going to be coming from the @onelineage.com email domain.
  2. Lineage will not ask you for money at any point in the process.
  3. Lineage will not ask you to send personal information.
  4. Lineage will not instruct candidates to send money to any individual, travel agency, recruiter, or other third party as a condition of employment.
  5. Lineage will not provide an offer of employment without an interview with a hiring manager.

Warning signs of a recruitment scam

Be cautious if:
  • You receive a job offer without completing an interview.
  • The sender uses a personal email account rather than an approved company or recruiting-system address.
  • Someone asks to communicate only through WhatsApp or another messaging platform.
  • A recruiter or third party asks you to pay a fee.
  • You are asked to send money for travel, visas, equipment, training, or processing.
  • The communication creates urgency or pressures you to act immediately.
  • The offer contains inconsistent company information, formatting, or contact details.

What to do if you receive a suspicious offer

  • Do not send money or provide any additional personal information.
  • Use our chatbot to contact us and confirm whether the communication you received is legitimate.
  • You can also email Recruiting Operations at recops@onelineage.com to report a fraud incident. Include the message or offer letter, the sender’s email address, and any payment instructions you received.
